hair expo 2011Hair Expo 2011 Every year over the June long weekend, at some stage or another most hairdressers attend Hair Expo, the industry event, held over three days. We were thrilled to be the only salon asked to represent S.A. for the 'Generation Next Event', a colourful evening consisting of National and International salons and stylists putting on mini shows. It was a very prestigious opportunity for ORBE to be invited and work alongside some iconic individuals of our industry. With 5 mins to take the stage we could choose what ever topic we wanted to, as an expression of our art. Our topic became 'Our Effects on the Environment', breaking our section in 4 catergories we chose
The Orbe team worked many hours in making head pieces, wigs out of the corresponding mediums to create some amazing creations. We called upon the talents of young design graduate Cristina Tridente from Marleston College to create eight stunning gowns made from plastic, air-conditioning insulation, foam packing peanuts, stunning sequins and wool. We all had a great weekend, one that will be remembered, for a long time to come!
